MIRIAM MARX was born in Hartford, Connecticut. She has a master’s degree in education and now works as a bilingual first grade teacher in a Spanish immersion program. Miriam enjoys helping her son when he needs it, and she wants children to know it’s okay to ask for help. She and her son live in Portland, Oregon, with their dog, Miso.


FRANCIS MCCALL and PATRICIA KEELER are a husband-and-wife photography team who love to create books for children. Although they grew up in different parts of the United States, both Patricia and Francis enjoyed using their imaginations and playing outside. When they aren’t working on their books, Francis and Patricia like to walk in the mountains and swim at the beach. They live in Hoboken, New Jersey.
