JACQUELINE SWEENEY knew she wanted to be a writer from the time she was in fourth grade. She is now a full-time writer who also finds time to teach poetry writing workshops in schools all over New York state. In her spare time, Jacqueline sings 1940s jazz and plays the piano. A native of Washington, DC, she now lives in Stone Ridge, New York, with her two cats.



ANNA RICH was born in Elmont, New York. Interested in illustrating since she was a child, Anna went on to receive her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. She is the illustrator of JOSHUA’S MASAI MASK and SATURDAY AT THE NEW YOU, both published by LEE & LOW BOOKS. Anna still lives in Elmont, with her husband and new baby.
