MARY CAPPELLINI was born in Los Angeles, California. She is an educational consultant specializing in teacher training and staff development. Mary has written, photographed, and translated many children’s books, including FISH PRINT, CONFETTI EGGS, and IN THE MOUNTAINS for Bebop Books. Mary lives in Newport Beach, California, with her husband, their three daughters, and their pet rabbit Blanco.

GEORGE CRESPO grew up in Puerto Rico. He teaches art to middle school and high school students and has illustrated several children’s books. The girl in this book was modeled after his daughter who played soccer when she was younger. George likes to present shadow puppet plays in his spare time. He lives in Yonkers, New York, with his turtle Desiree.
