Gaylia was inspired to write this story by her daughters sweatshirt that shrunk in the wash. When she isnt writing, Gaylia loves to travel. She lives in Norfolk, Virginia, with her husband. Gaylia has one grown daughter.
CATHY ANN JOHNSON was born in Columbus, Ohio. She earned her BFA from Columbus College of Arts and Design and currently works as a full-time illustrator. To illustrate this book she did research on dashikis and patterns found in African cloth. In her free time, Cathy enjoys studying languages and cooking exotic foods. She lives in Kansas City, Missouri, with her son and their pet hedgehog named Spike.
