CAROLE BOSTON WEATHERFORD has written many books for children. Her poetry appears in LEE & LOWs IN DADDYS ARMS I AM TALL, winner of the Coretta Scott King Illustrator Award. In JAZZ BABY, Weatherford passes on her love of poetry and jazz to young children. She lives in High Point, North Carolina, with her husband and their children.

LAURA FREEMAN graduated from the School of Visual Arts and is now a full-time illustrator. She has illustrated many books for young children, including BEDTIME FUN for Bebop Books. Laura lives in New York City with her husband, their children, and their cat named Tina.
