JUDY NAYER was born in Brooklyn, New York. She has worked in the field of book publishing for many years and has written over 150 books for children and teachers. When not writing, Judy loves to spend time in the park, just like the boy in this story. Judy lives in New York City with her husband and their son.



KAYERI AKWEKS was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is an enrolled member of the Mohawk Nation in Ontario, Canada. She has just recently become a full-time illustrator, and this is her first book for beginning readers. Kayeri lives in Aloha, Oregon, with her family and a large tank full of colorful fish.
