ANDRIA WARMFLASH ROSENBAUM was born in Danbury, Connecticut. She earned a Masters degree in special education from Bank Street College of Education in New York City. Following a career in teaching, Andria is now a full-time writer. She and her family live in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.


JESSICA GLICKMAN was born in Sumter, South Carolina, and received a fine arts degree in illustration from Pratt Institute in New York City. Jessica has loved to draw since she was a young girl, and is now a full-time illustrator and graphic designer. She lives in Rockville, Maryland, with her white terrier, Lloyd.

Guided Reading Guided reading levels were assigned by certified Reading Recovery® teachers and literacy experts using the guidelines identified in Guided Reading and Matching Books to Readers by Irene C. Fountas and Gay Su Pinnell (Heinemann).

Intervention Intervention levels were assigned by certified Reading Recovery® teachers and literacy experts and are intended for use in early intervention and one-on-one tutorial programs, including Reading Recovery® programs. DRA (Developmental Reading Assessment) The DRA levels were determined using information in the Developmental Reading Assessment Resource Guide by Joetta Beaver (Celebration Press).

All level placements may vary and are subject to revision. Teachers may adjust the assigned levels in accordance with their own evaluations.
