GAYLIA TAYLOR was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She has several education degrees and is a Reading Recovery® teacher. Gaylia has a small family, but she enjoys seeing large families come together for reunions. This is her first book for beginning readers, and when she isnt teaching or writing, Gaylia loves to travel. She currently lives in Norfolk, Virginia, with her husband.

AARON BOYD was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and has wanted to illustrate childrens books since he was six years old. He received his BFA degree from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Aaron loves to paint, travel, and explore other cultures. He still lives in Milwaukee, with his three dogs to keep him company.
