TINA ATHAIDE, of Asian Indian descent, was born in Uganda, Africa. She is a reading resource specialist and in 1998, was recognized by the International Reading Association for her outstanding contribution in the field of reading. She is the author of Best Friends, published by Bebop Books. Tina’s hobbies include gardening and yoga. She lives in Temecula, California, with her husband and their dog, Casper.


LISA CINELLI was born in Freeport, Illinois, and she earned her BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. A full-time artist, she is the illustrator of Can I Have a Pet?, published by Bebop Books. Lisa has two grown children, and she lives in Highland Park, Illinois, with her "crazy" cocker spaniel named Alice.
