Emmi S. HermanEMMI S. HERMAN was born in New York City. She has worked as an educator, editor, and writer. Emmi was inspired to write this story after watching children participate in Native America rodeos in Utah and Wyoming, and by the editors of the IndiaanRodeoNews.com She and her family live in Searingtown, New York.


Claire Louise MilneCLAIRE LOUISE MILNE was born in Ontario, Canada. Of Inuit, French Canadian, and Cree ancestry, she enjoyed researching Native American rodeo culture for this book. When she isn't illustrating books, Claire works as a graphic designer and enjoys knitting, beading and sewing. She lives in Toronto, Ontario.
